My love affair with poetry began as a baby – my Dad used to read it to me before I could even hold a pen, lulling me to sleep with the soft cadences of Yeats and Kavanagh (and Heaney of course!) After 11 years of bringing the joys of a dropped line or an extended metaphor to children in the classroom, I’ve just completed an MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa Uni.
You can find some examples of my work on here, or look out for poems in the upcoming edition of The North magazine. If you fancy seeing me in action, just pop along to one of the many spoken word poetry events in Bristol or Bath where you might catch me reading on stage.
Although I’m a poet first and foremost, I love dabbling in short fiction too and regularly post about books I’ve read or my travel adventures over on my blog anexploringbookworm.
Like what you see? Why not commission a poem as a special gift – or, even better, as a reading for a wedding or important event! Check out my PoetryGram site for more information.
