
Nicola Heaney is a poet from Derry, Northern Ireland. Her work has appeared in a number of journals across the UK and Ireland, including The North, Cormorant Broadsheet, Crannóg, Skylight47 and Poetry Birmingham Literary Journal. Her poetry has also been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize (2019 and 2020) and the Bangor Poetry Competition (2020).
Her poetry is rooted in geography and explores the ‘thin’ spaces that threshold time and place. She is currently working on her first collection and has recently published a book on Ulster Myths and Fairytales with O’Brien Press, Dublin.
